All sorts of good stuff happening... |
|
Sunday, 17 August 2008 |
Since the last time we checked in, we over here in the Addiction of the Day have made some substantial changes to things (what else is new right???). First and foremost, we've gone and stabilized and beefed up the line up. New to the AOTD are Shana, our super awesome lead guitarist and resident Hannah Montana fan ;), Paul, our fantastic drummer. Both of whom you would have seen/met if you were at the Nutmeg Games last month. Even new then those two is Genetic, our resident keyboard wiz. Genetic is a huge addition, and his talent and ingenuity are allowing us to both recreate our older material more faithfully live, and will help us take our new stuff in all sorts of new directions!
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to come out and meet these folks, as well as say howdy to us old timers (Bek, Franco, and Dewey) at the following shows/events:
Sept. 10, 2008: Benefit for our good friend Dave. The Public: Main Street Middletown. 8pm (there is a door for this show)
Sept. 13, 2008: We will be back at the Public in Middletown, everything gets underway @ 8pm
Sept. 17, 2008: Live at the Big E. Things will get underway @ 4pm. This is an all-ages show. When Bek gets done, the Addiction of the Day will take over as the backing band for the NE Megastar finals.
Talk to you all at the shows!

Myxer Ringtone of the DAY!!!! |
|
Saturday, 15 March 2008 |
|
Addiction of the Day was chosen as the Myxer Ringtone of the Day on March 15th! HOW COOL!!! You can get for FREE by texting "BEKSMUSIC 1" to 69937 (MYXER). Read the full write up here. "There’s a good chance today’s featured artist, Bek Phillips, had a ringtone in mind when she wrote her outstanding track, “Addiction of The Day.” The name says it all with this song kiddies, and it’s true, we just can’t get enough it! Picture if you will, the powerful, raucous vocals of Alanis Morissette softened by smooth, pop country instrumentation, and therein you will find the beautiful, Bek Phillips. Hurry and scoop this one up quick, yet don’t blame it on us when your friends have to stage an intervention!" |
